FAQs
How do I activate the floating window during my video interview calls?
Use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + I to toggle the floating window on and off. You can also click on the Interview Assist icon in the menubar and click "Toggle Interview Helper".
Can I back up my data on iCloud?
Yes! Interview Assist uses iCloud to sync your data across all your MacOS devices. Just make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID and have iCloud Drive enabled. The icon at the bottom of the sidebar will show you the sync status.
Can I export my data?
Yes! At the top of the sidebar click the icon with 3 dots, then click Export. This will save a JSON file to your desktop that contains all your interview data including job details, notes, Q&A, and questions.
How do I import an export?
At the top of the sidebar click the icon with 3 dots, click Import, find the JSON file on your Mac, and click Open. If any info being imported already exists, but has different content than the existing job, you will be given the option to keep the existing data or overwrite it with the imported data.
I have a lot of Q&A records, can I add them in bulk?
Yes! You can create a CSV file with columns "question" and "answer" and import it into the Q&A section of your job. To do this, go to the Q&A Prep tab, click the Import CSV button, find your CSV file and click Open to import. If any existing question matches one in your CSV file you will be given the option to keep the existing answer or overwrite it with the answer from your CSV file.
