Prompt Binder is a MacOS app to help you save and organize your AI prompts. Organize prompts into folders called Prompt Binders that you can customize with a name, color, and icon.

It also features a menubar app where you can easily search for prompts and copy to your clipboard with 1 click.

FAQs

What platforms can I use Prompt Binder on?

Currently, Prompt Binder is only available for MacOS.

Can I sync my Prompt Binders across devices?

Yes! Prompt Binder uses iCloud to sync your data across all your MacOS devices. Just make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID and have iCloud Drive enabled. The icon at the bottom of the sidebar will show you the sync status.

Can I back up my data locally?

Yes, you can export your Prompt Binders as JSON files for local backup. Just click on settings (gear icon) in the sidebar, then click Export and choose a location to save your file. This will save a JSON file to your chosen location that contains all your Prompt Binders and prompts.

How do I import a JSON file exported from Prompt Binder?

Click on settings (gear icon) in the sidebar, then click Import and find the JSON file on your Mac. If any notes being imported already exist, but have different content than the existing note, you will be given the option to keep the existing note or overwrite it with the imported note.

How does the menubar search work?

The menubar search allows you to quickly find prompts by searching for keywords in the prompt name and description. Just click on the Prompt Binder icon in your menubar, then type in the search bar or browse by Prompt Binder name.

The search results will show prompts that match your keywords. You can click on a prompt in the search results to copy it to your clipboard for easy pasting into your AI tool of choice.
